Cortalim Viva Carnival 2025, A Three-Day Extravaganza of Culture, Tradition & Festivities

Cortalim, Goa – March 2, 2025: The vibrant village of Cortalim is set to come alive with the spirit of Carnival as the Cortalim Villagers Social Welfare Sports Club and Cortalim Kala Kendra, in coordination with the Directorate of Art and Culture, present Cortalim Viva Carnival 2025. The grand three-day celebration will be held from March 2 to March 4, 2025, at NH66, Bhandiantli Khuris, Cortalim.

Cortalim MLA Shri Antonio Vaz has expressed immense delight over this grand festival and has urged people not only from his constituency but from across Goa to participate and make the event a grand success.

Event Highlights:

Day 1 – March 2, 2025

• Carnival Khell (Tiatr-style plays) featuring Sunny Day Gama & Soccoror Silva
• Exciting Housie Games for entertainment and community engagement

Day 2 – March 3, 2025

• Carnival Khell (3 traditional plays)
• Traditional Cultural Programs showcasing Folk Dances by renowned artist Chetan Khedekar along with local groups from Cortalim

Day 3 – March 4, 2025

• Grand All-Goa Carnival Float Parade
• Chief Guest: Hon’ble Minister for Arts and Culture, Shri Govind Gaude
• Guest of Honour: Shri Reginaldo Lawrence, MLA of Curtorim
• Presiding over the event: Cortalim MLA Shri Antonio Vaz, along with all Sarpanchs from Cortalim constituency
• Live Performance by the Big Country Band
• Solo Fancy Dress Competition
