In a landmark development for the pharmaceutical sector in Goa, Watson Pharma Pvt. Ltd., a Teva Group company based in Verna Industrial Estate, has successfully concluded a historic wage agreement with the Bharatiya Kamgar Sena (BKS), ensuring a substantial direct wage increase of ₹15,000 for its workers.
The tripartite agreement was signed today during a meeting convened at the Office of the Divisional Labour Commissioner, Margao, in the presence of Mr. Satish Waghonkar, Divisional Deputy Labour Commissioner, who facilitated the negotiation process.

The wage agreement comes after intensive and sustained negotiations, with both the company and union recognizing the need for an equitable resolution in light of the competitive challenges of the global pharmaceutical industry.

The deal also includes a supplementary wage fitment proposal that had long been pending, fulfilling a key demand from the workers’ union.
