IPL 2025 to Resume on May 17 Across Six Venues, Gujarat Titans Lead the Table

Mumbai, May 12: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially confirmed the resumption of the TATA IPL 2025, with the remainder of the season set to begin from May 17, 2025, after a brief suspension. A total of 17 matches will be played across six venues, featuring two double-headers on Sundays.

Leading the points table as of now are the Gujarat Titans, who have secured 16 points from 11 matches, establishing themselves as strong contenders for a playoff spot.

In a statement, Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, saluted the courage and dedication of India’s armed forces, whose unwavering efforts have paved the way for the league’s safe resumption. The Board reiterated its commitment to national interest while ensuring the successful conclusion of the IPL 2025.
