Panaji, May 26: Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today chaired an important meeting at Mantralaya with Secretaries and Officers from various departments to review the detailed preparations for #InternationalYogaDay scheduled on June 21, 2025.

During the meeting, CM Sawant laid out a comprehensive action plan and gave clear directives:
👉🏼 Online Yoga Training Programs to be conducted for teachers, volunteers, and citizens.
👉🏼 Mandatory half-hour daily yoga practice and promotion in all schools across Goa.
👉🏼 An ambitious goal of holding Yoga Day sessions at 30,000 locations statewide.
👉🏼 20-day yoga training programs starting from June 1, 2025 to ensure wide participation and readiness.
👉🏼 Mandatory school involvement as high schools reopen on June 4.
👉🏼 Open invitation to volunteers who are willing to provide free yoga training — they will receive certificates and yoga kits from the government.
👉🏼 Corporate sector participation is also welcomed, with companies encouraged to join and support the International Yoga Day celebrations.

CM Sawant emphasized that every department must actively participate, ensuring the event becomes a grand success. He urged all Goans to embrace yoga not just for the occasion but as a long-term commitment to a healthier and more mindful lifestyle.

“The state of Goa will celebrate International Yoga Day with full enthusiasm, showcasing our dedication to health, wellness, and unity,” CM Sawant stated, directing officials to ensure all preparations are completed on time.
