Goa Congress Ex-Chief’s Explosive Tweet Sends Social Media into Frenzy

Panaji, February 13: A sensational tweet by a former Goa Congress chief has taken social media by storm, alleging that a prominent minister in the Goa BJP government is facing serious legal trouble in connection with the largest mining scam in Karnataka. The tweet, posted on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, has sparked a heated political debate across Goa.

In the post, the former Congress leader claimed that the case has been in court since 2015 and is now at a crucial juncture, with the final verdict expected on February 24. If found guilty, the minister could face up to seven years in prison. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the Karnataka Lokayukta is the complainant in the case, which is currently being heard by a Special Court in Bengaluru dealing exclusively with criminal cases against sitting and former MPs and MLAs.

The Congress leader further challenged Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to respond to the allegations, saying,

“I dare the CMO Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to respond to this post.”

Political Reactions and Social Media Outrage

The post has triggered a wave of reactions on social media, with netizens, political analysts, and party supporters engaging in intense debates. While Congress supporters claim this is proof of corruption within the ruling BJP, BJP leaders have remained largely silent, with no official response from the CMO Goa yet.

With the February 24 court verdict approaching, all eyes are now on the Goa BJP government and whether the minister in question will face legal consequences.

Stay tuned for further updates.
