Controversy Erupts Over Ullu Show House Arrest for Alleged Vulgarity; Political Reactions and Public Outrage Intensify

The reality series House Arrest, streaming on Ullu and hosted by actor Ajaz Khan, has become the centre of a nationwide controversy after its latest episode was widely condemned for allegedly promoting vulgarity and obscenity. Social media users, critics, and political voices alike have raised alarms, accusing the show of crossing all moral and ethical boundaries.

In a now-viral segment from the recent episode, Khan is seen asking a female contestant about sexual experiments and sex positions. When she expresses discomfort and lack of knowledge, Khan invites two other contestants to demonstrate various sex positions on camera to “educate” her. The sequence, packed with suggestive dialogues and visuals, has triggered a storm of criticism.

In another controversial scene, female contestants were challenged to remove their undergarments from underneath their clothing while being filmed. These clips, now widely shared on X (formerly Twitter), have sparked public outrage and calls for urgent action.

Adding fuel to the fire, critics have pointed out the hypocrisy of Ajaz Khan’s stance. “This is the same Ajaz Khan who previously spoke about Islam and its values concerning vulgarity and sex. Now he is seen openly discussing and demonstrating Kamasutra positions with female contestants,” one social media user commented.

The episode’s release comes at a time when the central government is reportedly preparing to tighten regulations on OTT content. Several political figures and netizens have directly urged the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to ban House Arrest with immediate effect, calling it “a disgrace to Indian cultural values.”

So far, neither Ajaz Khan nor Ullu officials have responded to the growing controversy.
