Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant Unveils Goa State Film Festival 2025: Celebrating 75 Years of Goan Cinema

Panaji, June 16, 2025:
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today briefed the media about the highly anticipated Goa State Film Festival 2025, which promises to be Goa’s grandest cinematic celebration yet. Held under the theme “75 Years of Goan Cinema”, the festival will combine the 10th, 11th, and 12th editions of the Goa State Film Festival into one spectacular event.

Dr Sawant was joined at the press briefing by MLA and ESG Vice Chairperson Smt. Delilah Lobo and other key officials. He emphasized the importance of preserving Goa’s cinematic heritage while providing a vibrant platform for emerging filmmakers.

Film Screenings & Competitions
Featuring the best of Goan and national cinema across genres.

Short Film Making Challenge
A unique pre-festival contest where participants will receive a topic just 48 hours before the deadline. Top entries will be screened and awarded during the festival.

  • Deadline: 7th July 2025

Workshops, Q&A Sessions & Knowledge Series
In-conversation events with filmmakers, interactive sessions, and masterclasses to enrich the creative community.
