Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant Launches “Wrong Side of the Road” Road Safety Initiative at KTC Headquarters, Panaji
Panaji, May 27 — Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today officially launched the “Wrong Side of the Road” road safety initiative at the KTC Headquarters in Panaji, marking a significant milestone in Goa’s commitment to safer roads.
This innovative program is a joint collaboration between BharatCares, CSRBox, Diageo, and the Transport Department, Government of Goa. At its heart are the newly introduced Driver Sensitization TabLabs, now set up across all 7 RTOs in Goa. These TabLabs provide interactive learning experiences, including real-life accident stories, engaging modules, and critical lessons on safe driving practices.
Every individual visiting RTO offices — whether for license applications or renewals — will now interact with these tools, encouraging reflection, accountability, and responsible driving behavior.
Speaking at the launch, CM Dr. Pramod Sawant emphasized, “This is a revolutionary step towards creating a culture of road safety. With every citizen becoming more aware, we can significantly reduce accidents and save lives.”
The state government hopes this initiative will foster a culture of safe driving, responsible choices, and heightened road awareness, ultimately making Goa’s roads safer for everyone.
Together, let’s commit to making every journey a safe one. A safer Goa begins with aware citizens.
