13th Pension Adalat on “Family Pension” to be Held on 4th June in New Delhi: 417 Grievances from 17 Ministries to be Addressed
Write title for Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare will be conducting the 13th Pension Adalat with the theme of “Family Pension” on the 4th June at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, in a statement, said that 417 grievances related to family pension matters pertaining to 17 Departments and Ministries are proposed to be taken up in the Adalat for redressal.
These include the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare and Department of Financial Services.
The Ministry said, it is committed to ensuring faster resolution of grievances and enhancing dignity and financial security for the Family Pensioners. A “pension adalat” is a type of grievance redressal mechanism where all stakeholders, including representatives from ministries, departments, Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO), and banks, come to together to resolve pension-related issues of Central Government pensioners. It’s essentially a meeting or forum where pensioners can present their grievances and seek on-the-spot resolution.

Pension Adalats are designed to address long-standing and unresolved grievances related to Central Government pensions.
Stakeholder Involvement:
All stakeholders involved in a pensioner’s case, including the pensioner themselves, relevant departments, CPAO, and banks, are invited to a common platform.
On-the-spot Resolution:
The goal is to resolve issues promptly, avoiding lengthy and complex legal processes.
Speedy Resolution:
Pension Adalats aim to expedite the resolution of pension-related issues, particularly those pending for more than 120 days.
Focus on Central Government Pensioners:
These adalats are specifically for Central Government pensioners and their pension-related issues.
Nationwide:
The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare organizes Pension Adalats across the country, including thematic Pension Adalats focused on specific issues.
