Vasco, 19th January 2025: Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, along with Mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit, Traffic Police Inspector Shailesh Narvekar, and officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), conducted the final inspection of the Vasco UpRamp today. This critical infrastructure project is set to be inaugurated on January 21st by the Honorable Minister for Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, and Honorable Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant.
The UpRamp, designed to provide seamless access to the highway for travelers heading towards Margao and beyond, is a significant milestone for the city. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Salkar expressed pride in the project, highlighting its transformative potential for Vascokars.
“The cutting-edge loop bridge linking directly to Berth No. 9 is a testament to the BJP Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure. By redirecting heavy vehicles to Berth No. 9, this loop bridge will substantially reduce congestion in the city. A considerable portion of this loop bridge falls within the Vasco constituency, making it a matter of pride for us,” MLA Salkar stated.
The long-pending UpRamp and loop bridge projects faced numerous challenges but have now been successfully completed. These developments are expected to enhance port connectivity, ease traffic congestion, and provide much-needed relief to residents and commuters.
MLA Salkar also extended his gratitude to Gammon India officials and all stakeholders for their efforts in completing this ambitious project.
The inauguration on January 21st is expected to be a landmark event, marking the beginning of a new era in Vasco’s infrastructure development.
