Vasco Gears Up for BJP Victory in South Goa Lok Sabha Elections

Vasco, March 3, 2024 — Anticipation is running high in Vasco as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Lok Sabha elections in South Goa is expected to secure a significant victory, with the assurance of over 16 thousand votes from the Vasco constituency in Mormugao taluka.

Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, a prominent figure in the BJP, expressed confidence in the party’s candidate during the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s (BJYM) Namo Yuva Choupal program (Chai Pe Charcha) held at Vasco Bus Stand. The event witnessed the participation of key BJP leaders and officials, including Goa BJP Yuva Morcha President Sameer Mandrekar, State Human Resource Development Board Vice President and Vasco BJP Group President Deepak Naik, Murgaon Mayor Girish Borkar, Corporator Shami Salkar, South Goa BJP Yuva Morcha Secretary Kiran Naik, Vasco BJP Yuva Morcha President Amay Chopdekar, Prashant Narvekar, Sandeep Narvekar, Dilip Kajale, former corporator Anil Chopdekar, former corporator Rochna Borkar, and numerous citizens.

The event showcased the unity and support within the BJP ranks as leaders shared their vision for the upcoming elections. MLA Krishna Salkar emphasized the significant role the BJP candidate is expected to play in the development of the region post the Lok Sabha victory.

Speaking about the achievements of the Modi government, Vasco BJP Group President Deepak Naik highlighted the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir as a crucial step towards achieving justice. He also encouraged everyone to make the most of the central and state government’s schemes, emphasizing the benefits that have been extended to the poor and the middle class during the tenure of the Modi government.

The leaders urged the citizens to rally behind the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with a goal of surpassing the 400-mark. Criticizing the incumbent South Goa Congress MP Francis Sardin, the BJP leaders claimed that Sardin’s tenure had failed to address the needs of Vasco.
