Union Public Service Commission Announces Final Results of Civil Services Examination, 2024
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination, 2024. The examination process included a written test conducted in September 2024, followed by the Personality Test (interviews) held from January to April 2025.
A total of 1009 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services Group ‘A’ & ‘B’, in order of merit.
Category-wise Break-up of Recommended Candidates:
- General: 335
- EWS: 109
- OBC: 318
- SC: 160
- ST: 87
(includes 50 PwBD candidates: 12 PwBD-1, 08 PwBD-2, 16 PwBD-3 & 14 PwBD-5)
Additionally, in accordance with Rule 20 (4) & (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2024, a consolidated Reserve List comprising 230 candidates has been maintained.
Service-wise Vacancies Reported by Government:
- IAS: 180
- IFS: 55
- IPS: 147
- Central Services Group ‘A’: 605
- Group ‘B’ Services: 142
Total Vacancies: 1129
(includes 50 PwBD vacancies)
Appointment to the various services will be made as per the number of vacancies available and the rules of the examination.
