New Delhi, October 20: The Delhi Police has registered an FIR following an explosion outside the Central Reserve Police Force (#CRPFSchool) in the Rohini area of the National Capital. The incident has raised security concerns, prompting swift action from law enforcement agencies.
In an official statement, the Delhi Police confirmed that the FIR was lodged at Prashant Vihar Police Station under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, and the Explosives Act. Authorities are investigating the nature of the blast and its possible motives.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena assured the public that a multi-agency probe is underway. “We are coordinating with multiple security and investigative agencies to uncover the circumstances behind this explosion and ensure the safety of the area,” he said.
No casualties have been reported so far, but the incident has led to heightened police presence around the school and nearby areas. Forensic teams and bomb disposal units were dispatched to the site to examine the blast’s source and determine whether any explosive devices remain in the vicinity.
Local residents have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities during the investigation. “Public safety is our top priority, and we will keep citizens informed as we uncover further details,” said a senior Delhi Police official.
Security around key installations in the city has been strengthened, and CRPF officials are also closely monitoring the situation.
More updates on the investigation are expected as authorities continue their probe into the incident.
