Verna, South Goa – September 13, 2024: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today inaugurated the state-of-the-art NDR Warehousing Facility and laid the foundation stone for a new logistics facility at Varama Logistic Park in Verna, South Goa. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including GIDC Chairman and MLA Shri Aleixo Reginaldo, MLA Shri Anton Vaz, and the CEO of NDR Varama, along with other prominent guests.
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Sawant congratulated NDR Varama for their substantial investment in Goa’s logistics sector. He emphasized the importance of these new facilities, stating, “These developments will significantly strengthen the logistics sector and contribute to the growth of the pharmaceutical industry and exports from the state.”
Dr. Sawant also highlighted the Government of Goa’s commitment to fostering ease of doing business through its logistics policy. “Our logistics policy ensures timely and seamless clearances and permissions, making Goa an attractive destination for businesses,” he added.
The new warehousing and logistics facilities are expected to boost Goa’s industrial capacity, particularly in sectors like pharmaceuticals and exports, further reinforcing the state’s position as a growing business hub.
The event marked another milestone in the government’s ongoing efforts to support infrastructure development and economic growth in Goa.
