Senior Hamas Official Rejects “Partial” Ceasefire Deal, Says Group Won’t Serve Netanyahu’s Agenda

Gaza City – Senior Hamas official and chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya declared on [insert date] that the Palestinian militant group will not accept any partial ceasefire agreements, accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of pushing deals that serve his domestic political interests rather than a lasting resolution.

The statement comes as indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas continue, with mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S. attempting to broker a deal for the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for a temporary truce. According to recent reports, 59 hostages remain in Hamas captivity, with only 24 believed to be alive.

Israel’s latest proposal reportedly offered a 45-day ceasefire in return for the release of 10 hostages, but al-Hayya dismissed the offer as insufficient.

“We will not accept partial arrangements that only serve Netanyahu’s political survival,” al-Hayya said, emphasizing Hamas’s demand for a complete end to the war, full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and the release of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for hostages.

The deadlock prolongs the suffering of civilians in Gaza, where over [insert casualty figures if available] have been killed since the war began on October 7, and raises fears for the remaining hostages. Meanwhile, Netanyahu faces mounting pressure from hostage families and political rivals to secure their release.
