Cortalim, 24th September 2024: In a significant event aimed at empowering local households, Shri. Antonio Vas, MLA of Cortalim Constituency, distributed sanction letters under the Griha Aadhar Scheme to 97 beneficiaries. The distribution ceremony was held at the MLA’s office in Manxer, Cortalim, in the presence of Smt. Merciana Vas, Zilla Panchayat member of Cortalim.
Shri. Antonio Vas, in his address, encouraged more residents of Cortalim to take advantage of the Griha Aadhar Scheme, which offers financial support to housewives. He thanked the government for its continued efforts in making such beneficial schemes available and for accelerating the application approval process. Shri. Vas further appealed to the recipients to visit the Women and Child Development (WCD) Office in Vasco to submit the required documents and complete the process.
“The Griha Aadhar Scheme is a blessing for many families, and I urge more women from our constituency to apply and avail themselves of the support it offers,” Shri. Vas stated.
Smt. Merciana Vas, ZP of Cortalim, also spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of government schemes like Griha Aadhar. She pointed out that many residents of the constituency are unaware of other beneficial schemes and appealed to the community to stay informed. “These functions are organized to raise awareness so that more people can benefit from government support,” she added.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Shri. Eddie Fernandes, who appreciated the efforts of both the government and local leaders in making the Griha Aadhar Scheme accessible to the people of Cortalim.
