Rahul Gandhi Writes to PM Modi, Demands Special Parliament Session to Show Unity Against Terrorism

New Delhi, 29 April 2025
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to convene a special session of both Houses of Parliament in the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

In his letter dated 28th April 2025, Gandhi expressed deep outrage over the attack and emphasized the need for national unity. “At this critical time, India must show that we always stand together against terrorism,” he wrote.

Highlighting the sentiment of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi stated, “The terrorist attack in Pahalgam has outraged every Indian. The Opposition believes that a special session of both Houses of Parliament should be convened, where the representatives of the people can show their unity and determination.”

He concluded the letter by requesting the Prime Minister to organize the special session at the earliest, signaling a bipartisan commitment to counter-terrorism efforts.

This move comes at a time when national security has once again taken center stage, and leaders across the political spectrum are calling for a united front.
