The closure is part of the first phase of traffic management for the ongoing project, specifically to enable the critical activity of launching precast segments. The decision aims to ensure the safety of commuters and provide a hindrance-free work environment for speedy project completion.

Traffic Diversion Plan

  • Vehicles proceeding towards Panaji will be diverted to B. B. Borkar Road.
  • Local residents and establishments along the closed NH-66 stretch will be provided safe access at designated points.
  • The contracting agency, M/s RRSM Infra Pvt. Ltd., has been directed to install prominent diversion signboards, no-parking boards, and other road safety measures in compliance with IRC and MoRTH guidelines.
  • Traffic marshals will be deployed round-the-clock in coordination with Traffic Police.
