PM Modi in France: AI Will Transform Jobs, Not Eliminate Them
Paris, France: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to France, addressed concerns over job losses due to artificial intelligence (AI). Speaking at the AI Action Summit in Paris, he reassured that technological advancements do not erase jobs but rather transform them, urging nations to prioritize skilling and re-skilling their workforce.
“Loss of jobs is AI’s most feared disruption. But history has shown that work does not disappear due to technology. Its nature changes, and new types of jobs are created. We need to invest in skilling and re-skilling our people for an AI-driven future,” PM Modi stated.
The Prime Minister emphasized that AI is not a threat but an opportunity that, if harnessed correctly, can boost productivity, innovation, and economic growth. He highlighted India’s growing AI ecosystem and the government’s efforts to integrate AI into various sectors, including healthcare, education, and governance.
With AI continuing to reshape industries worldwide, global leaders, including PM Modi, stress the importance of preparing the workforce for new-age roles rather than fearing job losses.
