Pahalgam Attack: Zipline Operator Under Scanner After Chilling New Video Surfaces

Fresh developments have emerged in the Pahalgam terror attack investigation, as a zipline operator has come under scrutiny after a tourist revealed chilling details of the moments leading up to the attack.

On April 22, tourists enjoying the scenic Baisaran meadow in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam faced terror when gunfire erupted unexpectedly. Rishi Bhatt, a visiting tourist, was mid-air on a zipline when the shooting began. Sharing his harrowing experience, Bhatt said he narrowly escaped serious harm only because he was suspended in the air at the time.

In a shocking revelation, Bhatt stated that just moments before the attack, the zipline operator allegedly said “Allahu Akbar” — meaning “God is the greatest” — while moving his head from side to side. Immediately after this gesture, firing began from both directions.
“When I took the zipline, one person said ‘Allahu Akbar’ and moved his head left and right, and then the firing started from those sides,” Bhatt told News Channel.

Following this testimony, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reportedly taken the zipline operator into custody for questioning. Investigators are now probing whether the operator had prior knowledge of the planned assault or played any role in facilitating it.

The incident has intensified security concerns in Jammu and Kashmir’s popular tourist hubs, as authorities work to ensure the safety of visitors and locals alike. Meanwhile, operations to identify and neutralize those responsible for the attack are underway.

Authorities have urged tourists to remain cautious but not to panic, assuring that robust measures are being implemented to prevent future incidents.
