New Delhi, August 31: Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today addressed the nation in the 125th episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat. The broadcast once again echoed the powerful message of “Vocal for Local”, urging citizens to choose and celebrate products made in India – from gifts and attire to home décor and lighting – as a step towards realising the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Inspiring Stories of Self-Reliance: PM Modi praised the efforts of “Solar Didi” from Bihar, a woman security guard who became an inspiration by embracing solar technology for empowerment. Such stories, the Prime Minister said, are shining examples of India’s grassroots women-led development model.
Reiterating the unifying mantra of development, PM Modi said:

The Prime Minister also touched upon issues of climate awareness, women empowerment, and India’s youth power driving innovation in sports, technology, and sustainability. He urged citizens to not only consume local but also champion local entrepreneurs, artisans, and innovators, thereby strengthening the nation’s economy from the ground up.
