Nagpur: The law and order situation in Nagpur, which witnessed violent incidents on Monday night, is now under control, according to District Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singal. Authorities have registered five cases and arrested 50 individuals in connection with the unrest.

Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule conducted a high-level meeting with officials and personally inspected the violence-hit areas. The district administration is currently assessing damages caused by arson and stone pelting.

To restore confidence among residents, the Nagpur police carried out a route march in sensitive areas last night. Commissioner of Police Dr. Singal stated that decisions regarding relaxation of the curfew would be made after evaluating the situation.

Meanwhile, Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which prohibits public gatherings, has been imposed in 11 zones of the city. Officials urge citizens to maintain peace and cooperate with law enforcement authorities.
