Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar Conducted Coordination Meeting for Ganesh Visarjan at Baina Beach

Baina, Mormugao 12 August 2025: A joint on-site coordination meeting was successfully held under the leadership of Mormugao MLA Shri Sankalp Amonkar to finalize arrangements for a smooth, safe, and orderly Ganesh Visarjan at Baina Beach.

The meeting witnessed the active participation of key government officials, including Deputy Collector of Mormugao Shri Bhagwant Karmali, Mamlatdar Shri Pravinjay Pandit, DySP Vasco Shri Gurudas Kadam, Police Inspector Mormugao Shri Sherif Jacques, Mormugao Municipal Council Chairperson Shri Girish Borkar, and the Chief Officer of MMC. Representatives from the Traffic Police, Electricity Department, PWD, Drishti Lifeguards, the Beach Cleaning team, and NHAI officials were also present.

During the meeting, MLA Amonkar emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees during the immersion process. Detailed instructions and responsibilities were assigned to each department, covering aspects such as crowd management, traffic regulation, illumination, emergency response, cleanliness, and environmental protection.

Authorities assured full preparedness, with Drishti Lifeguards stationed for safety, dedicated traffic routes for smooth vehicle flow, and municipal teams ensuring cleanliness throughout the event.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to make this year’s Ganesh Visarjan at Baina Beach safe, organized, and respectful of tradition.
