Health Minister Vishwajit Rane Inspects Chicalim Sub-District Hospital, Announces Major Healthcare Upgrades
Chicalim, Goa – June 7, 2025:
In a significant move aimed at bolstering healthcare infrastructure in Goa, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today conducted an inspection of the Chicalim Sub-District Hospital. This visit underscores the government’s steadfast commitment to enhancing public health facilities across the state, aligning with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Health for All.
Accompanied by health officials and medical staff, Minister Rane reviewed ongoing upgrades and interacted with hospital personnel, emphasizing the values of empathy, efficiency, and excellence in service delivery.
“As part of our continuous efforts to deliver accessible and quality healthcare, we are expanding kidney care services by adding 10 new dialysis beds. This upgrade will significantly improve treatment timelines for patients requiring dialysis,” Rane stated.
Recognizing a noticeable increase in patient footfall, the Health Minister also announced the deployment of additional bond doctors in the casualty department to ensure uninterrupted emergency care services.
Under the guidance of Union Health & Family Welfare Minister Shri JP Nadda, the Goa government is working relentlessly to create a responsive and inclusive public healthcare system. The enhancements at Chicalim Hospital aim to serve as a model for other health institutions across the state.
