The festival once again reaffirmed Goa’s position as a hub for art, culture, and cinematic excellence.
On the special occasion, Dr. Sawant presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to distinguished theatre and film actress, and a proud daughter of Goa, Smt. Varsha Usgaonkar. Her illustrious journey, marked by dedication, versatility, and passion, has enriched the Indian cultural landscape while bringing immense pride to her home state of Goa.
Dr. Sawant extended his heartiest congratulations to all award recipients whose contributions have brought honour to Goan cinema. The evening also saw a special recognition conferred upon Late Baba Naik for his invaluable role in preserving and enriching the cinematic legacy of Goa.
