Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today chaired a high-level meeting at Mantralaya, attended by Chief Secretary, DGP, and senior officials. The meeting focused on key agendas of the upcoming 27th Meeting of the Western Zonal Council and preparations for the State Budget.

Emergency Response System: Strengthening the 112 Emergency Response Support System to ensure faster response times across Goa.

Banking Accessibility: Aiming to provide bank branches within 3 km of every village, ensuring financial inclusion for all.

Affordable Housing: District Magistrates were directed to eliminate illegal slums to promote planned urban development.

Urban Master Planning: Revising Panjim’s Master Plan and developing master plans for Vasco, Margao, and Mapusa.

Poshan Abhiyan & Education: Strategies to combat malnutrition and reduce school dropout rates in rural areas.

Best Practices: Exploring successful governance models from other states for effective implementation in Goa.

Judicial Reforms: Speeding up the launch of fast-track courts for swift justice in Rape & POCSO Act cases.

Budget Planning: Reviewing current expenditure, assessing key assurances, and preparing for the upcoming budget.
