Chandgad, Kolhapur – In a grand public meeting organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kolhapur, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. The event, titled ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan Mahasava’, was attended by Union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol, Rajya Sabha MP Dhananjay Mahadik, former Minister Bharamu Anna Patil, BJP Kolhapur Assembly Convenor Shivaji Patil, along with ex-servicemen, farmers, and local residents.
During his speech, Dr. Sawant highlighted the transformation of the iconic slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” into “Jai Science, Jai Research” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He underscored the significance of technological progress for the future, emphasizing that the government is committed to fostering research and innovation.
Dr. Sawant also recalled the crucial contributions of Goa’s late Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar during his tenure as Defence Minister, mentioning that key decisions were made under his and PM Modi’s leadership to support retired soldiers and their families.
The Chief Minister elaborated on the government’s efforts to uplift farmers, pointing to the PM Kisan Scheme, crop insurance programs, and improved agricultural irrigation initiatives. He further praised the Maharashtra Government’s Chief Minister Baliraja Free Electricity Scheme, which has provided substantial relief to farmers.
He reaffirmed that the Mahayuti (Grand Alliance) Government is committed to serving all sections of society, including soldiers, farmers, women, and youth. Concluding his address, Dr. Sawant expressed confidence that Maharashtra will once again place its faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi for continued development and prosperity.
The gathering was marked by enthusiasm, with attendees expressing their support for the BJP’s initiatives aimed at national progress and welfare.
