Dr. Deviya Rane Fulfills Long-Awaited Promise: Inaugurates KTCL Bus Service from Parye to Valpoi via Morlem Colony
— A Milestone in Rural Connectivity and Student Welfare

Parye, Goa | June 11, 2025 – In a significant development aimed at improving rural connectivity and educational access, Dr. Deviya Rane, MLA of the Paryem constituency, inaugurated the long-awaited KTCL bus service from Parye to Valpoi via Morlem Colony today. The inauguration marks the fulfillment of a promise made three years ago, after consistent efforts and follow-up to address the transportation needs of local students and residents.

This new KTCL bus route is expected to greatly benefit residents of Karanzol, Valpoi, Honda, Morlem, Parye, and Sankhalim, especially students of Shri Bhumika Higher Secondary School, who have long struggled due to the lack of a timely and reliable public transport option. In recent years, delayed or irregular bus services had caused many students to miss critical classes — with some even forced to drop out of school.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Rane expressed her deep satisfaction at finally being able to deliver on her commitment:

“This is more than a bus service — it’s a step toward educational empowerment and rural upliftment. I am grateful to Transport Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho and KTCL Chairman Shri Ulhas Tuenkar for their unwavering support in turning this vision into reality.”

The inauguration event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Zilla Panchayat Member Shri Sagun Wadkar, Smt. Devyani Gawas, Parye Sarpanch Smt. Deepa Naik, Panchayat Members of Parye, and KTCL officials Roque Luis, Dipaki Phadte, and Sarvajit Barve.
Representatives from Shri Bhumika Higher Secondary School, including Principal Shri Yeshwant Sawant, Manager Shri Shivajirao Rane Sardesai, Secretary Shri Kusta Rane, Vice Principal Shri Rao Saheb Rane, and Shri Mohan Narvekar were also present to witness this historic occasion.

The initiative is seen as part of a broader plan to enhance transport infrastructure, support students, and boost rural development across the constituency.
