Congress Leaders Celebrate Rahul Gandhi’s Birthday at Jawaharlal Bal Manch Sancoale and Across India with Enthusiasm and Unity

Celebrations held in Cortalim under the leadership of Olencio Simoes

Sancoale, Goa, June 19 – Congress leaders and workers across India came together on Wednesday to celebrate the 55th birthday of Shri Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament and current Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

In Goa, the Congress unit of the Cortalim constituency, led by local leader Olencio Simoes, marked the occasion with great fervor at the Jawaharlal Bal Manch in Sancoale. The celebrations began with a ceremonial cake-cutting, followed by a civic awareness program conducted by the Jawaharlal Bal Manch.

Party workers Celebrated the birthday of Rahul Gandhi’s unwavering dedication to the values of democracy, social justice, and the rights of the common man. As part of the celebrations, sweets were distributed and an educational session on civic responsibilities was organized for children, highlighting Gandhi’s message of love, compassion, and service to society.

Speaking on the occasion, Olencio Simoes praised Rahul Gandhi as a youth icon and a fearless voice against injustice and divisive politics. He also addressed local civic concerns, stating, “Basic amenities like water, electricity, garbage management, and sewerage issues are severely affecting Sancoale. These challenges are not only a threat to the environment but also endanger school-going children, who are increasingly vulnerable to water-borne diseases, especially during the monsoon. I urge the concerned authorities to take immediate action.”

The event was graced by several senior Congress members, including Mrs. Pelajia J. Pires, Chairperson of Jawaharlal Bal Manch Goa; Wilfred Fernandes, Vice Chairman of the Minority Department of GPCC; Velsao Panch member Ashlyn Antao, and other party workers and supporters.

The celebration served as a reaffirmation of the Congress party’s commitment to the principles upheld by Rahul Gandhi and its resolve to address the concerns of the people through grassroots efforts.
