Curtorim, Goa | January 3, 2025 – Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today virtually laid the foundation stone for several key developmental projects in Curtorim Constituency, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to infrastructure growth and public welfare.
The virtual ceremony was attended by WRD Minister Shri. Subhash Shirodkar, Environment Minister Shri. Aleixo Sequeira, Art & Culture Minister Shri. Govind Gaude, Tourism Minister Shri. Rohan Khaunte, and several MLAs, including Shri. Reginaldo Lourenco, Shri. Nilesh Cabral, Shri. Antonio Vas, Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, Shri. Premendra Vishnu Shet, Shri. Sankalp Amonkar, and Shri. Krishna Daji Salkar. Also present was DGP Goa, Shri. Alok Kumar, IPS, along with other dignitaries.
Major Development Projects Announced:
1. New Primary Health Center at Curtorim – A modern healthcare facility to improve medical services for residents.
2. Maina-Curtorim Police Station at Sonsodo, Raia – Strengthening law enforcement for enhanced public safety.
3. Underground Power Cabling & Installation of New Power Transformers – Ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply and improved infrastructure.
4. Hotmixing & Repairs to Roads, WRD Works – Upgrading roads and water resource projects for better connectivity.
5. Soil Conservation Works (Camorlim Bund) – A critical project to protect agricultural lands and prevent soil erosion.
6. Upgradation of Curtorim & Maina Football Grounds – Boosting sports facilities to promote local talent.
7. Proposed High Mast Lights Across the Constituency – Enhancing public lighting for better security and convenience.
8. Agriculture Machinery, Physiotherapy Clinic, CSC Centers, etc. – Supporting farmers, improving healthcare, and expanding digital services.
Government’s Commitment to Progress
Speaking at the event, CM Dr. Pramod Sawant emphasized the government’s commitment to holistic development across Goa. “These projects will significantly improve the quality of life in Curtorim, ensuring better healthcare, infrastructure, law enforcement, and sports facilities. The government remains dedicated to the overall progress of all constituencies,” he said.
