CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Launches Vision Document and Citizen Charter in South Goa

Margao, Goa: As part of the ongoing Good Governance Week, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated a Dissemination Workshop and launched several key initiatives organized by the Collectorate South Goa in coordination with the Department of Public Grievances. The event, held at the Collectorate office, aimed to reinforce the state’s commitment to transparent and efficient governance.

Highlighting the day’s achievements, the Chief Minister unveiled the ‘Vision Document: District @100’ and the Citizen Charter for South Goa District Administration. These documents outline strategic goals for the district’s growth and provide citizens with clear guidelines on accessing government services. Additionally, an SOP for Mutation processes was launched to simplify property registration and ownership transfer procedures.

The event saw the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Law and Environment Minister Shri Aleixo Sequeira, MLA Shri Digambar Kamat, Collector and District Magistrate South Goa Ms. Egna Cleetus, IAS, and former Collector N.D. Agrawal.

Dr. Sawant emphasized the importance of the Vision Document, stating, “This initiative will ensure a structured roadmap for South Goa’s development over the next century while promoting citizen-centric governance.”

In a significant move towards social welfare, the Chief Minister handed over claims to beneficiaries under the Goa and Central Calamities Schemes. He also distributed birth certificates to members of the Wanarmare Tribe, facilitating their late birth registrations.

The initiatives launched today reflect the government’s commitment to delivering efficient services and ensuring inclusivity for all citizens. The event marks another step towards achieving sustainable development and strengthening trust between the administration and the people.
