Chodankar Questions Neutrality of CEO Goa’s Social Media Operations

Panjim 10 August 2025: Former Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, Girish Chodankar, has raised serious concerns over the impartiality of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Goa’s social media platforms. He questioned whether the official ‘X’ and Facebook accounts are being manipulated from the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) headquarters, thereby compromising the institution’s constitutional neutrality.

Chodankar accused the CEO Goa’s social media handles of posting content targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, describing it as a “blatant breach” of the Election Commission’s neutrality and constitutional responsibility.

“The people of India must now rise for truth, justice, and the Constitution,” Chodankar declared, pledging to counter any partisan misuse of institutions with democratic means.

He asserted that a “revolution to protect democracy” has already begun across India, warning that democratic institutions cannot be hijacked to influence elections or tamper with the foundation of the Republic.

“Those undermining democracy will not go scot-free. The Congress will not remain silent in the face of such institutional complicity,” he warned.

Chodankar’s remarks add to a growing chorus of voices demanding transparency, fairness, and political neutrality from electoral authorities ahead of the forthcoming elections in Goa.
