Panaji, Goa – In a major step towards modernizing Goa’s public transportation, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today unveiled the Smart Transit Card KTCL under the tagline ‘One Card, Many Destinations.’ The innovative card aims to revolutionize commuting by offering a seamless, cashless travel experience across all Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) buses, including the popular ‘Maji Bus’ initiative.
During a special ceremony, the Chief Minister handed over the first batch of cards to students, senior citizens, women, and other commuters. The event was graced by Transport and Panchayat Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho, KTCL Chairman Shri Ulhas Tuenkar, and other dignitaries.
Exclusive Benefits of the Smart Transit Card KTCL:
1. 50% discount for students and senior citizens.
2. 10% discount for first-time users.
3. Applicability on interstate KTCL buses, ensuring enhanced convenience for travelers.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Sawant commended KTCL for its forward-thinking initiative, stating, “This service is a significant step towards achieving our vision of an efficient and eco-friendly transportation network. The Smart Transit Card will make commuting easier, faster, and more economical for Goans and visitors alike.”
