Chaired a High-Level Review Meeting at Mantralaya Regarding the Construction of the Six-Lane Elevated Corridor (Porvorim Flyover)
Porvorim 05/12/2025: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired a high-level review meeting at Mantralaya to assess the ongoing construction of the Six-Lane Elevated Corridor, popularly known as the Porvorim Flyover. The meeting was held in the presence of Cabinet colleague and Porvorim MLA, Shri Rohan Khaunte, along with senior government officials.
The session focused on reviewing the current progress of the project and addressing pressing issues such as traffic diversion and road conditions. With commuters facing inconvenience due to ongoing construction, the Chief Minister issued strict directions to repair and restore the service lanes within one week, ensuring immediate relief for daily road users.
To maintain momentum and ensure timely completion of this crucial infrastructure project, Dr. Sawant announced that regular review meetings will be conducted. These meetings will monitor the pace of work, identify bottlenecks, and expedite pending tasks.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the people for their patience and cooperation during the construction phase. He appealed for continued support as the government works towards the swift completion of this project, which plays a vital role in strengthening Goa’s highway network and improving connectivity in the fast-growing Porvorim region.
