CBSE Declares Class XII Results: 88.39% Students Pass Board Exams
New Delhi, May 13, 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class XII results for the academic year 2024–25. Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, issued a press release announcing the result on Tuesday morning.
This year, 88.39% of students passed the Class XII board exams, marking an increase of 0.41% over last year’s pass percentage of 87.98%.
Girls Outshine Boys Once Again:
Girls continued their consistent lead over boys, with 91.64% girls passing the examination, compared to 85.70% boys. The gender gap in pass percentage stood at 5.94 percentage points in favor of girls. Transgender students recorded a perfect 100% pass rate.

- Vijayawada: 99.60%
- Trivandrum: 99.32%
- Chennai: 97.39%
- Bengaluru: 95.95%
- Delhi (East & West Combined): 95.18%
Institution-wise Performance:
- Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV): 99.29%
- Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV): 99.05%
- Government Aided Schools: 91.57%
- Independent Schools: 87.94%
Foreign School Performance:
Out of 21,825 students in CBSE-affiliated foreign schools, 20,694 passed, achieving a 95.01% pass rate.
