BJP Accuses Congress of Tampering with Constitutional Institutions, Slams Opposition Over Infiltrators

New Delhi, August 18, 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today accused the Congress of tampering with constitutional institutions and undermining democratic processes.

Briefing the media in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that despite the Election Commission giving detailed information on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar yesterday, the Congress continues to question the credibility of the poll body.

Mr. Patra asserted that, as per the Supreme Court, the Election Commission holds the authority to prepare the electoral roll for the purpose of elections. He said Congress is deliberately creating doubts in the public’s mind about constitutional bodies.
