Calangute, Goa: A late-night altercation at a beach shack in Calangute resulted in the unfortunate death of a tourist from Andhra Pradesh. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Ravi Teja, lost his life during the incident, which occurred after a misunderstanding escalated between tourists and shack staff.
Authorities reported that the incident took place after midnight when a group of tourists requested food from the shack, which had already closed its kitchen services for the night. When the request could not be fulfilled, tensions rose, leading to an argument. The situation intensified when inappropriate language was reportedly directed towards a staff member.
In the ensuing altercation, Ravi Teja sustained a fatal injury. A staff member, Kamal Sonar, a 23-year-old from Nepal, has been taken into custody by the Calangute police for questioning. Authorities are also looking for additional individuals connected to the case as part of their ongoing investigation.
