Panjim 12th Oct 2024: In a significant move to bolster emergency medical services in Goa, Hon’ble Health Minister Vishwajit Rane flagged off 21 advanced ambulances yesterday, donated by the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) and Molbio Diagnostics. The ambulances were inaugurated at a special function, marking a substantial leap forward in the state’s healthcare infrastructure.
Speaking at the event, Minister Rane expressed profound gratitude, stating, “We are incredibly grateful for their generous contribution to Goa’s healthcare sector. This significant donation will revolutionize emergency medical services, ensuring timely and quality care for our citizens.” He further emphasized the role these ambulances will play in bridging the healthcare gap between remote areas and medical facilities, saying, “These ambulances will bolster our efforts to provide better healthcare access, especially in rural and underserved regions.”
The new fleet of ambulances is equipped with state-of-the-art technology aimed at enhancing pre-hospital emergency services. Minister Rane noted that this would reduce response times and improve patient outcomes, adding, “With these advanced ambulances, we will enhance our pre-hospital emergency services, reducing response times and improving patient outcomes. This partnership reinforces our resolve to strengthen Goa’s healthcare infrastructure.”
The event was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Shri Glen Kalvampara, Member of the Goa Mineral Ore Exporters Association; Ms. Sushma Saini from GVK EMRI; Sr. Sneha Gitte, Collector of North Goa; Shiva Shriram and Sri Ayman Khan from Molbio Diagnostics, with Shriram serving as President of Business Development; Shri Ashwin Chandru, Collector of South Goa; and Shri Ganaraj Morajkar, OSD of the Goa CSR Authority. Senior health officials, including Director of DHS Dr. Vandana Dhume and Deputy Director Dr. Rupa Naik, along with District Hospital staff, were also present to witness the momentous occasion.
This latest development further demonstrates Goa’s commitment to improving its healthcare delivery system and ensuring that timely medical assistance reaches all citizens, particularly in times of critical need.
